Never expected to have such a chaotic and funny class :P
We were divided into two groups, one group decided to do "churros" and my group decided to do "Quatre-quarts" (french cake).
At first all went well, every one was working on the dough of each preparation, we put the cake in the oven and the others started frying the "churros". I was a bit worried cause that oven is very old and you can't control very well the temperature, but I hoped it'll be good in the end.
We were chatting happily near the kitchen, when we suddenly heard a noisy "pop" and right after oil was all over us. One churro exploded, making the oil jump like crazy over all of us (I luckily only received a bit on the neck). We ran to wash ourselves, and I hope the others that received more oil don't have blisters. But apparently we were all fine so we started laughing.
After that it was time to get the cake out of the oven, and what I found wasn't nice. I think the oven was too hot, because the cake sides and base got burned, but when I cut it, the middle was raw. I was really pissed off, cause I've had practiced doing that same cake at home twice before doing it on classes, and I always succeded. Anyway, we ate the cooked parts (tasted good, lol).
We left after that 'cause classes were over, still laughing because of an unforgettable experience.
This pic is of the cake mould after taking out the rest of the cake.
